I myself recently returned from a weekend up in the Cuyama Valley at the Blue Sky Center’s quirky covered wagon-style glamping accommodation. In this post, I’ve rounded up the most epic spots to go glamping in California whether you’re on the hunt for a yurt, safari-style tent or tiny cabin in the woods, this list has ’em all. Plus, there’s some pretty unique glamping sites in California that truly make for a magical experience. Glamping in my opinion, is one of the best ways to experience all that California has to offer because it allows you to be in the midst of nature and enjoy all of the best parts of camping while leaving all of the annoying bits behind.
I feel lucky to call this state home and have been making a point to try and get out to explore more of my local surroundings even more this year. We clean the house regularly so it's COVID-safe! Dispensers with hand sanitizers can be provided, if needed. It's one of the original 3 Topanga cottages. The neighboring house belongs to the property, but is rented out and can't be used for filming or shoots. And, you'll be able to bring your own food – just don't loiter, and help us recycle whenever possible. Restaurants and cafés are just a short walk away. Equally, the large parking pad on the property can be used to store equipment, park cars, trailers, etc. Parking: There's a long driveway leading to the property which can be used to park trucks and cars. There's also plenty of natural grass with an amazing rose garden – the perfect spot for a sunset photo shooting.Īn exercise pad overlooking the Canyon is ideal for working out or taking photos of people while dancing (with or without the sun in the background). Large palm trees line up the property, offering breathtaking views of the nearby Topanga Canyon Park and different scenarios for filming and photo shooting. It makes for a fantastic location for shoots – film and photo. The trailer is fully equipped, with all the original interior in place.
A piece of art itself, it sits next to the Zen-style garden which features a hammock. All sewing notions and accessories from the same period blendi together with a complete set of modern sewing machines and notions. It is composed of a comfortable red suede loveseat and a composition of tables and storage full of crafts and sewing accessories, with a vintage charm coming from a 1904 original Singer sewing machine (fully working). It has been remodeled with a beautiful wood finished interior throughout, has double French doors and side windows allowing natural lights all over the place. The shed is a smaller building on the property, located just next to the Zen garden and the Airstream trailer. The kitchen is of classical style – functional, and combined with the living room. It's a great spot to catch some beautiful shots in natural light, especially at sunset. The living room provides for a 180 degree view over Topanga Canyon from the couch. The bath room features black marble and a large mirror, ideal for make-up, dressing etc. The kids room and guest room each feature a bed and entrance via sliding doors. There's a video projector with a video wall installed and a large walk-in closet outside, there's an outdoor shower and a jacuzzi, which offers stunning sunset views of Topanga Canyon. The master suite offers plenty of natural light and clear views of Topanga Canyon, all from the king size bed. Bathroom, kitchen and living room are shared.
The 3 bedroom main house features a large master suite, a kids room and a guest room (all with private entrances). Main house, shed, trailer, and all outdoor locations are available for shoots – either individually, or as a combo.
